After the Promise

A small world, built in 3D. Inspired by the work of Sebastian Siems and by the idea that a single scene can hold an entire society, and take a quiet jab at the capitalist utopia some still believe in.

A large billboard reads Tomorrow is Yours. A perfect family, blue sky, a future that was once promised. Below it, the fine print: some restrictions may apply.

The scene is a remnant. A television on a chair, an empty can, construction fences, loose cables, scattered objects. Plants growing through the debris. The billboard weathered, faded, still standing.

The camera begins at a distance and slowly moves in, approaching the ruins of a comfort society, toward the screen: static, no signal, offline. A hum fills the space. The banner recedes to the edge of the frame.
